The Village hotel wedding photography

Mandy and Brian  27th september 2014

The Village hotel

Mandy and Brian had originally booked the Park Hotel for their wedding, however after meeting with us and seeing some of our portfolio albums of The Village Hotel Newcastle they actually changed venues to have their whole day at The Village instead!

Getting Ready
When we arrived at the hotel Mandy was having her hair styled and her make up expertly applied by the lovely hair and makeup artist Carli. Her girls were getting ready in the room next door so it was all calm and chilled when we arrived. The bridesmaids were all getting excited getting ready for the big day.

Mandy had a gorgeous dress to wear and was excited to get into it. Teamed with a glistening tiara, jewellery and some amazing heels she was ready to go with her bouquet in hand. Her nerves were starting to set in!

The girls were ready and Mandy's dad arrived looking thrilled to be walking his daughter down the aisle so they headed downstairs.

The Ceremony
Brian was waiting in the ceremony room with all the guests and his best man for support looking a little on the nervous side!

The bridal procession entered the room with the page boy and flower girl definitely having the 'Aw' factor, the bridesmaids followed then the bride and her dad entered the room.

The ceremony began and the couple said their special vows then exchanged their wedding rings. Mr and Mrs Carr had their first kiss as husband and wife and the register was signed to make it all official!

The happy couple walked back up the aisle and Brian even gave one of the guests a cheeky high five to celebrate.

We went out for the group photos and some lovely formal photographs on the steps at the front of the hotel.

The Couples Photographs
Mandy and Brian were nice and relaxed with the formalities of the ceremony being over with so we had a walk over to the country park across the road from the hotel. We love the variety The Village Hotel offers for photographs as there is the beautiful country park with a lake just across the road and then the quirky restaurant inside too.

We had a short walk around the park and got some stunning lakeside shots and some beautiful images just having a walk. You can tell how much this couple really love each other and how comfortable they were with each other for posing in front of the camera! We all got along great which meant they could be themselves with us, we really feel this shows through in their photographs and you can tell how happy they were to be married!

We popped into the restaurant for some quirky shots too. We really love the look of the images in here as they have a unique look to them.
We also managed to get the guys in for some fun God father table shots with cigars and cards as props. The guys LOVED it and it was getting a bit competitive round the table with the cards!

The Speeches
Everyone was in the room ready for the speeches now. We heard from Mandys dad who had some funny stories to tell then the groom had his words and thanked everyone for coming. The best man was last but not least and kept everyone entertained.

The meal was served and we popped outside with the laptop and got ready a selection of images into a slide show ready for the evening to go up with our amazing Projector add on as this was booked for the evening do.

Party Time!
The room was turned around for the evening with a stunning white LED dance floor and twinkling backdrop.

The DJ was set up ready to get the party started and our big projector screen was ready to surprise guests with a sneaky peak of what happened throughout the day so far. Our projector is a great way to include your evening guests in what happened during the day that they weren’t there for and provides a great talking point amongst guests.

There was the traditional cutting of the cake then Mandy and her new husband took to the dance floor. We set off one of our fun confetti cannons (just ask your venue and let us know if you want us to bring one along for your big day!) which surprised everyone!

Mandy had a dance with her dad which was lovely and they were both emotional.

It was time for everyone to hit the dance floor and party the night away! Mandy even changed into a different white dress for the evening so she could dance easier!

The evening was still going strong when we left for the night with it set to continue into the small hours.

Thanks to Mandy and Brian for choosing us to photograph their wedding day we hope they had as much fun as we did! We are sure they will love their photographs and enjoy looking at them for many happy years to come!

All the best for your future together!
