Wedding photography at Backworth Hall

Louise & Daniel

Backworth Hall

Louise & Daniel booked us for wedding photography at the amazing Backworth Hall in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They were to get married at a beautiful church in Earsdon then go on to Backworth hall for their reception and evening celebrations.

We had been talking to the couple leading up to their wedding for around 2 years as they booked well in advance to secure their date, and they were very excited for their big day!

Getting Ready
Louise got ready at her mums home with her bridesmaids, mum and dad, and her daughter Maya.

When we arrived everyone was getting prepared for the big day! Hair and makeup artist was in full flow doing a great job of making everyone look stunning, and then they went across to the hairdresser’s seat for some fabulous pin up hair styles. The flowers had arrived with bouquets and button holes all with gorgeous gypsophelia.

The couples little girl Maya was having a great time and getting excited! She had her hair done too and also had a sneaky try of mum’s dress. This is a great photo to catch with your daughter and give her when she gets married in future years herself.

Louise’s mum helped her into her gorgeous gown which was a beautiful princess dress, with shoes and jewellery added her bridal look was complete.  Her dad was to walk her down the aisle and Louise helped him get his cufflinks on. With everyone ready to go they headed off to the vintage car to be whisked off to the church.

The Ceremony
Daniel was already at the church greeting guests and not looking too nervous which was great to see. He had his groomsmen around for support and they were doing a great job. We grabbed a few shots of them together before Louise arrived.

Louise arrived with her father in a gorgeous vintage car, when they entered the church there was a lovely sign for louises dad to read.

The couple made their wedding vows to each other and exchanged wedding rings, Maya was having a wander around during the ceremony which caused a few giggles all round! After managing to kneel in her dress for the blessings Daniel was finally allowed kiss his bride and the register was signed to make everything official!

They walked back up the aisle as Mr and Mrs Emptage together looking so happy!
Everyone headed out to the front of the church for a group photograph and some confetti throwing, and then all headed off to the next venue- Backworth Hall after we took a few shots of the couple with the beautiful car.

On arriving at Backworth Hall there was some time before the wedding breakfast was to be served so we worked our way through the couple’s list of family formal photographs using the steps to the hall as a backdrop. This meant all the formalities were taken care of before the meal so the rest of the day the guests could relax.

The Romantic Couple’s Photographs
After the family photos were finished we whisked the bride and groom away for a short time to grab some gorgeous couple’s shots before the meal. Back worth Hall has some amazing surroundings so we didn’t need to go far for some beautiful images!
Maya joined in for some of the photo and had fun playing with our vintage parasols with her mummy. How cute do they look together! We had a lot of fun with Daniel and Louise doing their shots and they look so happy throughout them you can tell they did too!

The Speeches
The room was set ready for the meal and looked amazing with the cake set up and purple accents through the room. Guests came in and took their seats for the speeches to begin. We see more and more speeches done before the meal so that they are out the way and people can enjoy the meal without the stress of a speech hanging over them!
Louise’s dad was up first and gave a great speech even if he did embarrass Louise and one of two of her friends with some funny stories!

Daniel went next and gave a heartfelt emotional speech and gave gifts of thanks out. The star of the show was the best man who wrote a great speech and gave out pictures to embarrass Daniel who found it hilarious! Guests were laughing from start to finish so he did a great job!

After the speeches we then took a break to let everyone enjoy their meal and we got to work on a selection of the images from the day so far so they could be ready to go up on our projector for the evening reception guests to see!  We love our Image Projector service and it goes down so well with guests as it’s a wonderful way to include evening guests in what happened during the day time and a great talking point for everyone too, as well as giving the Bride and Groom a sneaky peak at what’s to come!

Our lovely friend Craig from Tom foolery Photobooth arrived to set up his fun photo booth for the evening as well, always nice to catch up with other friendly suppliers!

Party time!
After the meal the guests made their way to the bar areas to relax while the room was set up ready for the evening celebrations. After a quick cutting of the cake was over with Mr & Mrs Emptage took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, all the guests were watching as an exploding balloon above the dance floor was burst and rained bright sprinkles of confetti over the couple and then others joined them on the dance floor.
The photobooth had people queuing up for a go at some Marryoke too! The party really started then and everyone was having a great time partying on the dance floor. The night was in full flow when we left! There was a lot of partying on the dance floor with everything from spinning to The Robot being busted out!

Overall it was an amazing day for everyone and we had a brilliant time photographing the whole wedding. We hope they love their photos as much as we enjoyed taking them! Thanks to Louise and Daniel for choosing us to photograph their special day and allowing us to capture their memories to treasure for years to come, we loved it!

We wish you all the best for the future together as husband and wife!
