Wedding Photography at the Three Horse shoes, Blyth

Danielle & Scott

St Mary the Virgin, Horton

Danielle and Scott were a last minute booking for us for their wedding photography at St Marys Church Horton and The Three Horseshoes in Blyth. They had unfortunately had some issues with previous arrangements for photography and needed to arrange someone else and found us!

The Bridal Preparations
Danielle got ready at home with her bridesmaids, her mum, dad and little girl Ellie.
Everyone was very excited, hair was done and the two makeup artists were making everyone look glam for the big day.

Danielle had an amazing dress- it had very long train, we struggled to fit it all in a picture when it was hanging up!
Danielle was helped into her gown by her mum and one of her bridesmaids who (with a bit of guidance from Laura) laced the corset back up perfectly.
Danielle’s dad was staying out the way keeping little Ellie occupied and then getting himself ready.

The flowers arrived and Danielle’s mum had a surprise for all the girls, she had arranged a bouquet charm to be added to each bouquet in memory of one of their special loved ones no longer with them. It was such a lovely thoughtful gift that had everyone in tears!
She added her shoes, jewellery and garter and a cathedral length veil to complete the look, she looked amazing. With a final bit of makeup touch ups and the girls with their dresses on it was time to go to the church in the Jaguar car that had arrived!

Scott was waiting at the church with his best man and his son Calvin and they all looked sharp in matching suits, and Scott didn’t even seem that nervous!

The Ceremony
Following tradition Danielle’s dad walked her down the aisle looking very proud with his daughter on his arm. The church service was lovely with hymns and the couple exchanging rings and saying their vows to each other. They were now husband and wife! After signing the register everyone left the church for some confetti throwing and some family photographs outside in the church gardens with friends and family.

The Mr & Mrs Photographs
We had some time between then and the reception starting so the newly wed Mr & Mrs Hickson had a walk around the church grounds for some beautiful portraits together. The sun was shining, it was a lovely day to be outside. Danielle’s long veil and dress looked amazing, and the couple looked very happy together! Scott and Danielle were relaxed and enjoying having their photos taken and you can see how much they were enjoying their special day. They look the perfect couple together.

They then headed across to the Three Horseshoes for their marquee reception just up from the church.

The Speeches
Everyone was at the Three Horseshoes taking their seats in the marquee ready for the speeches to begin. The marquee looked amazing decorated with pink accents throughout to match the colour scheme.

Danielles dad was first up and gave an emotional but funny speech that everyone enjoyed. Scott then gave some heartfelt thanks to all the help from friends and family as everyone got together to make the day perfect for them, and told Danielle how wonderful she looked too. Best man had some tales of him and Scott which had everyone entertained too. Everyone settled down for the meal following the speeches.

Party Time!
The DJ was set up with some great tunes playing and the evening was kicked off with a father and daughter dance which was great as Danielle’s dad goes to a jive dancing group and they performed a little routine together! They did a great job even though it must have been difficult in that big wedding dress! Everyone gathered to watch them!

Next it was time for the newlyweds to hit the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife! We set off one of our fun confetti canons to add a splash of colour and wow to the dance floor and other couples got up and joined them at the end.

Everyone got on the dance floor to party the rest of the night away and with the drinks flowing everyone was clearly having an amazing evening!

The day was enjoyed by everyone that came, we really enjoyed working on the images of the whole day and had such fun taking their photos. There were some brilliant suppliers involved in the day, you can see details below!

Thanks Danielle & Scott for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful wedding day and capture these precious memories for you.

We wish you a long happy married life together!
