Wedding photography at Eshott Hall

Nicola & David

Eshott Hall

Nicola and David booked us for their wedding photography at Eshott Hall in august.. They had chosen a fabulous venue. Nicola had lots of plans for the big day and from when they booked us we were really looking forward to their wedding day!

Getting Ready
Nicola had stayed at Eshott Hall the night before with friends and family and we arrived things were nice and chilled out.
Hair and makeup was well under way and the couple’s daughter Lena was getting really excited for everything

There were plenty drinks flowing and everyone was getting very excited.
Meanwhile Nick popped across to grange House where David and the rest of the guys were getting ready. They were getting their suits and button holes sorted ready for the ceremony. They were all ready to go so headed down to greet guests and get ready for the ceremony to begin.

Nicolas makeup was finished and with help from her mum and bridesmaid she was fastened into her dress. Her jewellery finished the look and she had a gorgeous gift from David of a bracelet that he had had specially made which incorporated her grandmas earrings so Nicola could have her with her on the wedding day.

Nicola made a stunning bride and we knew she would blow David away when he saw her.
Their two kids Lena and Calvin also looked amazing dressed in their outfits! After a quick touch up of lipstick they were all ready to leave.

The Ceremony
The guests were all in their seats waiting for the arrival of the bridal party, and David was at the front suffering a little with nerves.
Nicola was in their gorgeous retro VW campervan- this was from the lovely Nigel at VW Deluxe. He has a beautiful van lovingly restored with original features, accompanied by her dad, for the short journey from the hall down to the reading room where the ceremony was to be held. The building for the ceremony is beautiful, it looks like a little chapel with gorgeous windows, and the flowers and chair sashes brought everything together.

The bridesmaid walked down the aisle first, and then Nicolas’s dad proudly walked her down the aisle. David looked so happy to see her. The couple made their wedding vows to each other and exchanged wedding rings. The groom got to kiss his bride and the register was signed to make everything official!

David looked far more at ease with all his nerves vanished now the ceremony was out the way! They walked back up the aisle as Mr and Mrs Harrison and we went outside for some confetti shots!

The guests headed back up to the hall, the main building where the rest of the day would be, while we kept the couple for a view shots under the arched entrance to the reading room and with the quirky vintage telephone box that is there too.
We had a few pictures with the bride and groom with the beautiful VW Campervan on the way back to the main hall

After the drinks reception we went out to the front of the hotel for the big group photo and to have some family formal photos taken as well.

The Romantic Couple’s Photographs
After the family photos were finished we had a walk round the grounds for some romantic couple’s portraits. Eshott hall is great for your wedding portraits as the grounds are beautiful. The weather was on our side with sunshine even though it looked a bit dicey at times. We managed to use the grounds to their full potential getting photos in various places
They had a great time posing for their photos and considering they were both nervous and unsure they did an amazing job. It helps doing these photos away from other guests so it’s not as intimidating and puts couple’s more at ease.

The Speeches
The room was set ready for the meal and looked amazing with the cake set up and pretty floral centrepieces. The room was full of little touches that Nicola had done herself, they had some amazingly thoughtful place cards made which were super cute. Guests came in and took their seats for the speeches to begin.

Nicola’s dad gave the first speech, it was a lovely heartfelt speech with some laughter too.
The groom John was up next and had a short speech thanking everyone for coming and telling everyone how happy he was.

The best man was next to take the stage and gave some funny tales of him and David and what they got up to together, he did a great speech and gave everyone quite a laugh!
Lastly the grooms sister got up to say a few words about David’s dad who is no longer around.

After the speeches we then took a break to let everyone enjoy their meal and we got to work on a selection of the images from the day so far so they could be ready to go up on our projector for the evening reception guests to see! We love our Image Projector service and it goes down fabulously with guests as it’s a wonderful way to include evening guests in what happened during the day time and a great talking point for everyone too, as well as giving the Bride and Groom a sneaky peak at what’s to come!

Party time!
After the meal the guests made their way to the bar areas to relax while the room was set up ready for the evening celebrations. The DJs arrived to set up and get ready for the party to begin, there was a photo booth, and our projector was up displaying the images for guests to see.

We stole the couple away and took them around the vegetable patch for a few more cute shots of them together and then got our lovely lace parasols out for some mummy and daughter shots of Nicola and Lena together. Lena loved posing like a princess!
There were a lot of games and activities spread out on the grass to keep the kids (and adults!) entertained during the room changeover.

After a quick cutting of the cake was done Mr and Mrs Harrison took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, all the guests were enjoying watching and then others joined them on the dance floor. The party really started then and everyone was having a great time strutting their stuff on the dance floor with some great party tunes played by the DJ’s from Dynamic Disco everyone was loving it.
The party was in full flow when we left with all sorts of shapes being thrown to Saturday night, the Macarena and more!

Overall it was a really fun day for everyone and we had a fabulous time. We hope they enjoy their photos as much as we enjoyed taking them! Thanks to Nicola & David for choosing us to photograph their wedding day and allowing us to capture their memories to treasure for years to come, we had a blast!

We wish you all the best for the future together as husband and wife!
