Jo & Terry Yates
29th March 2014
We were very honoured to be asked by Jo & Terry to cover their wedding, they are from Wigan and chose us to travel from Newcastle Upon Tyne to their wedding in the lakes. We made a night of it too and stayed overnight at a lovely hotel just down the road. (The Wild Boar Inn)
What a beautiful day this was! Bright blue skies and sunshine in Windermere, the Lake District. The Burnside Hotel is set a little back up the hill from Lake Windermere, you can see the lake from the terrace. It has beautiful scenery and is bursting with greenery and daffodils this time of the year.
Jo had all her girls with her getting ready and starting the party with some drinks and her maid of honour taking care of all the brides needs. The Groom sent Jo a wedding gift into her room, a stunning bracelet, which caused a few emotional but very happy tears from Jo. (well done Terry!)
Jo looked stunning with a loose up do in her hair and her makeup expertly applied. She wore an amazing ‘Sottero’ dress with crystal heels, her bridesmaids looked the part in striking red floor length matching gowns too! The men were ready and waiting downstairs greeting guests and getting into position for the ceremony!
Jo’s dad proudly walked her down the aisle, the ceremony was lovely and light hearted with a few giggles too! After the couple had "Tied the knot", we had lots of lovely family photographs out on the terrace, and some girly fun photos (this resulted in fits of laughter) and the guys were ‘jumping for joy’ as well! We had a walk round the grounds for some newlywed couple photos then heading indoors for the speeches!
Father of the brides speech was short but heartfelt, the groom did a great job, but the best man stole the show with his tales of the couple resulting in some head in hands moments which we captured perfectly!
The party started in the evening with the first dance which was performed with great style with lifts and dips! Jo & Terry booked our PropBox service also, this served the guests up brilliant entertainment throughout the night with everyone getting involved with things from moustaches and wigs to photo frames and inflatable animals! Some cracking pictures from those antics!
The whole day was fun for all involved, some fab suppliers from all around came together to produce an amazing day for the couple, thanks for allowing us to be part of it and capture your memories! Have a look through the days events below and see what a lovely day everyone had!
