Wedding Photography Doxford Hall

 Wedding Photography Doxford Hall
Rachel & Andrew Duffy 3rd April 2014
Rachel & Andrew chose to have a small intimate wedding day with their closest friends and family around them to celebrate. They chose the stunning Doxford hall as their venue, it has beautiful surroundings and is amazing inside as well as out.

As a hairdresser Rachel did her own hair and makeup. She had stayed the night before at Doxford and was getting ready with the help of her mum and her bridesmaid Susan. Rachel’s oldest son George was to give her away and he was getting ready looking very proud. He did a great job of looking after his twin little brothers Max & Jack, they all looked great in their little suits and ties.

Rachel dressed in a gorgeous lace vintage style dress from Debenhams and prepared to walk down the aisle. Emotions were running high with a few tears during the morning.

The groom was ready and waiting downstairs which gave us a great chance to get a couple of photos in the library with him and his best man, they certainly looked the part!

For the ceremony Max & Jack came in the room first carrying a cute heart chalkboard, one saying Andrew here comes... and the second saying Your bride. They looked super cute Rachel made a lot of handmade touches that ran throughout the day. It got a bit overwhelming for Rachel who had a few tears coming into the room on seeing her Groom and guests. After a lovely ceremony everyone headed out for a drinks reception, then we went outside for confetti, bubbles and some family shots which was a lot of fun for everyone.

We then had a walk around some of the grounds, all be it a little limited due to mud and wet ground- but that didn’t stop us! The couple wanted some photos on the stone steps, and Andrew happily carried his new bride across the grass so she didn’t ruin her shoes! They have some beautiful romantic shots from outside, it was definitely colder than it looks! We went for an adventure to the library which is full of wonderful old books, antique chairs, wood and a fabulous rocking horse. We spent some time capturing some family pictures and using some props.

It was time for the speeches and afternoon tea then! The groom was overcome a few times he was visibly so happy to be married to his new wife and become stepfather to the children and spend the rest of their lives together. The best man then took the stage and gave many tales about how the couple met (through twitter!) and the escapades of the stag do which caused a lot of laughs. They enjoyed their afternoon tea and that was the end of our part of the day as they weren’t having an evening reception, they were all off for a swim in the pool!
