Wedding Photography Guyzance Hall

Wedding Photography Guyzance Hall
Carol & Guy Lawson

We were thrilled to be asked to photograph Carol & Guy's wedding at the exclusive Guyzance Hall in Northumberland.

We were a little on edge about the weather as the week on the run up had given a lot of rain, but the sun was shining, the flowers were out and everywhere was full of colour and greenery so no need to worry! Guyzance Hall is an amazing building with gorgeous scenery around the grounds with many perfect areas for photo opportunities. They were planning an intimate day focussed on fun and spending time with their closest friends and family.

Tradition went out the window as bride and groom got ready together in the same room with Carol having best pal Sheena on hand to assist with her dress and accessories.

Guy dressed in a sharp suit and tie while Carol opted for a beautiful soft clover coloured gown and pretty matching lace shrug, she accessorised with purple shoes and some lovely jewellery, with a side tiara in her hair. The running theme of the day was pretty pastel colours for flowers and details throughout the venue.

Carol and Guy chose to walk down the aisle together and entered the room arm in arm with cheshire cat smiles upon seeing all their guests. After their vows the couple had a sand ceremony, we have never seen one of these before so it was a unique twist to the ceremony. Three different sands are poured into a pretty glass bottle which signifies the coming together of the bride and groom to form an indivisible whole, the grains of sand can never be separated. The exchange of rings followed by ‘kissing the bride’ completed the ceremony and we all went outside for some enthusiastic confetti throwing and the group photographs.

Guests enjoyed a selection of drinks and canapés outside on the terrace serenaded by the Brinkburn String Quartet, who also played for the ceremony, which gave a lovely light atmosphere. There were a few tense moments in the games of giant Jenga and connect four which added to the fun.

They had a lovely meal and there were some brief speeches- one from acting best man Bruce and one from Guy which got some good giggles around the room and came with heartfelt thanks to everyone for attending, they cut their beautiful cake (all handmade by the bride herself!) and were presented by an amazing painting done by Carols sister of the venue which was signed all around by all the wedding guests.

We had a walk round the gardens with the newlyweds taking in the scenery for some couple photos. Carol and Guy had a lot of fun having their photographs taken which you can see in the images we took, they really show the true happiness of them on the day!

The evening reception was a real party affair with live music and plenty of dancing! Carol threw the bouquet which caused a lot of entertainment for the ladies! The first dance was lively and after a few minutes others couples joined Carol and Guy on the dance floor. Everyone had a great time with our PropBox, which is full of wigs, moustaches, glasses and more, that we brought along too, that always guarantees to serve up some funny photos. There were sweet trees, a fab buffet and an amazing ‘Cheese cake’ to keep the guests going throughout the night. Everyone got a sneak peak at the photos throughout the evening as we also had our projector set up showing a snippet of the day for all to enjoy!

All in all a truly fabulous day for all involved for a wonderful couple with amazing friends and family. They have a stunning album to come and treasure forever along with their cute USB drive containing all their images. There were a number of fabulous suppliers involved in the occasion. We’d like to thank Carol & Guy for letting us be part of their special day and capture those all important memories for them, we had a blast!
