Wedding Photography - Riverside lodge, morpeth

Wedding photography - Riverside lodge
Steffi & Graeme Allsopp

Steffi & Graeme had their ceremony at a beautiful church, St Andrews Church, in Bothal. They held their reception and evening celebrations at the fab Riverside Lodge in Morpeth. The church was special to Graeme and Steffi as several of Graeme’s family have been married there including his parents, so it was lovely for them to follow a family tradition! Both venues had beautiful surroundings which were ideal for photo opportunities which was perfect.

Steffi got ready at home with her sons Aaron and little Cael. She had mum and maid of honour Lisa on hand with the tissues as it was an emotional day all round, and Dad was on hand to keep the kids entertained. Graeme was round at his mum and dad’s preparing for the big day, Laura stayed with the girls for the getting ready shots and Nick popped round to get some pictures of the guys looking sharp in their suits.

Steffi wore a stunning dress with an amazing lace detail to the back and tiny button fastenings. She had natural make up (with industrial strength eyelashes to last through the tears!) and a twinkly tiara in her hair. She wore some amazing heels with lace detail to match her dress, the whole outfit looking fabulous. Cael and Aaron had matching suits to the groomsmen all tying in with the colour scheme of red’s and burgundy’s.

Two beautiful vintage wedding cars arrived to take everyone to the church, one for mother of the bride, Cael, Aaron and maid of honour Lisa, and one for the bride and her dad.

Steffi's dad proudly walked her up the aisle for the ceremony, there were some lovely hymns sung by all. Aaron as ring bearer did a great job of presenting the rings and the couple exchanged them and sealed the marriage with a kiss. After the ceremony Bride and Groom greeted guests coming out of the church and there were plenty happy tears! We went outside the grounds for some traditional confetti throwing and the group photos. We also lined the couple up to replicate an exact shot that Graeme’s parents had at the church!

We headed off to the Riverside Lodge in Morpeth for the reception, on the way we passed a pretty rape seed field in full bloom of yellow flowers and couldn’t resist a quick stop off for a couple of shots. The car drivers were stars and let the bride and groom out and as you can see we captured some stunning summery pictures!

We had speeches from the father of the bride, the groom, and the best man- who told some embarrassing tales of his brother that kept everyone amused, though Graeme was a bit red faced!

While everyone enjoyed a fabulous meal we prepared a taster of some of the photos from the day so far as we were having our image projection set up for the night time so everyone could see what happened throughout the day and get a sneak peak!

Steffi and Graeme chose to have their couple’s shots on the riverside its self, it was a gorgeous day with the sun shining so we took advantage of the surroundings! Steffi and Graeme had so much fun having their photos taken and truly enjoyed themselves, they were so easy to work with. They were relaxed and fully open to any suggestions we had no matter what we threw at them! As you can see, this allowed us to produce some stunning images for them to treasure forever.

We brought Steffi’s girls over to take some fun shots of them together, when presented with some sunglasses they got the giggles and pulled some fab poses for the camera! Graeme’s jiu-jitsu friends were not to be outdone, they had some fighter moves then donned some shades and strutted around for some reservoir dogs style images before picking Graeme up! How awesome do they look!

Steffi burst into tears on watching her photos up on the projector, we were thrilled we captured the day perfectly for them! All the guests enjoyed looking at them too.

The first dance was lovely with the children joining in part way through, then everyone enjoyed party time. There was even some karaoke in for good measure!

Congratulations to an amazing couple, perfectly suited to each other . we wish you all the happiness in the world for the future!
