Tracy and Paul 15th August 2014
Jesmond Dene House
The bridal preparations
We first met up
with Tracy and Paul at Jesmond Dene House for a coffee to discuss
their wedding photography. Jesmond Dene House is a venue close to our
own hearts as we got married there ourselves we had a little extra
emotion over this wedding! They had lots of lovely ideas for their
wedding and we were really looking forward to being their wedding
photographers!
The couple were
having the whole day at the venue which tends to make things less
stressful than people having to travel to different places. Tracy was
getting ready in the bridal suite in the hotel with her little girls
Trinity and Charlotte and some more of the family.
The ladies were
all calm and happy when we arrived, the hair and make-up artist was
busy working her magic getting everyone ready. Marissa did a fabulous
job transforming everyone and Tracy looked fabulously glamorous with
her look completed with her trademark bright lipstick.
The groomsmen
were all looking smart for the day and we caught some shots of them
outside in their suits
Tracy’s
daughters and her niece were pretty as a picture in hot pink dresses,
charlotte loved looking at mummy’s princess dress. Tracy dressed
in her breathtaking bridal gown and her look was complete. Trinity
touched everyone’s heart by saying Mum you don’t look like a
princess, you look better! What a little charmer!
Jesmond dene house wedding ceremony
Paul was waiting
for the arrival of his bride. He was looking just a little nervous!
The bridal procession entered the room with Tracys son proudly
walking her down the aisle and Charlotte, a true daddy’s girl at
heart made a beeline for Paul, she spent part of the ceremony in his
arms. Weddings are quite emotional occasions for young ones.
They made their
vows to each other and exchanged rings, and there was a lovely
reading from a family member. The couple got to have their first kiss
as Mr and Mrs Smith then the register was signed, it was all a bit
much for Charlotte who fell asleep! They were clearly overjoyed to be
married and Tracy almost danced back down the aisle!
All the guests
went outside for some wedding confetti throwing and for canapés and
champagne drinks reception. The sun was shining, the birds were
singing so it was perfect to gather everyone together for the group
and family photos. We spent some time on the steps in the gardens
with everyone then we stole the Bride and Groom away for some
romantic shots of just the two of them.
Romantic couple's portraits
Taking the couple away from
the wedding party allows the bride and groom to relax and have a
little bit of time together after all the mayhem and excitement of
the day so far. Our couples photos are not too pose-y or directed and
everyone usually has a wonderful time having them taken.
We had a short
walk down to Jesmond Dene only a few minutes from the hotel. There is
a fabulous waterfall and old stone bridge which looks like it was
made for photographs, there are some amazingly beautiful shots and
Tracy and Paul look blissfully happy and in love. We took some lovely
shots on a little walk around Jesmond Dene, and then headed back up
to Jesmond Dene House in time for the meal and the speeches.
The speeches
were lovely and Tracy looked proud of her son reading his speech, the
groom and best man also had some words then everyone sat to enjoy
their meals after a toast to the happy couple. To keep people
entertained during the meal the amazing magician Paul Lytton entered the
room, walking in and setting fire to things was certainly a showman’s
entrance! He worked his way round the room with magic and tricks to
wow everyone (he even had us puzzled!)
The evening reception
We worked our
own magic by getting a selection of the days photos edited and put
into a slideshow ready for our projector to be set up for the evening
reception. The projector service is a great way of showing evening
guests a taste of what happened during the day and provides a great
talking point!
The DJ was set
up ready to go and the newlyweds hit the dance floor with a big
surprise for guests! They had been taking dance lessons and wowed
everyone with an amazing dance routine to a bit of Michael Buble!
Everyone got on the dance floor ready to party the night away!
We had a
wonderful day photographing the Smith wedding, it was almost like
reliving out own wedding partly so thanks to them both for choosing
us to be there to share it with them!
Their photos are
beautiful and they will hopefully treasure those wonderful memories
for years to come. We are sure they will have a long and happy
marriage together!
